When time is the real cost
A standard 65 mm floating screed can take well over two months to dry naturally. On a commercial fit-out or a home renovation where flooring, kitchens and occupants are waiting, that delay is expensive. A fast-drying system can bring that down to days or a couple of weeks, depending on the product and site conditions.
How we plan a fast-drying screed
These materials have a shorter working time, so everything must be ready before we start mixing: levels set, membranes and edge strips in place, access clear and enough hands on site. We choose the product to suit the depth, the floor finish and how quickly you need to get on.
- Tell us the date the floor covering needs to go down
- Let us know the intended finish, as tiles, timber and resin have different moisture limits
- Keep the building weathertight and ventilated after the pour
