We want everyone to be able to use this website. It is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Text and buttons meet colour contrast requirements, and text can be resized to 200% without loss of content.
- The whole site can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to content” link.
- Every photo has a text description, and headings are in a logical order for screen readers.
- Animations respect the “reduce motion” setting on your device. The moving town names can be paused, and the video can be paused and is silent unless you turn the sound on.
- The job video has written chapters describing each stage of the work.
- Forms have clear labels, show which fields are required, and explain errors.
Known limitations
- The job video does not have captions. It contains site sound and no essential spoken information; the chapters describe what happens.
- Plans or photos customers upload are not checked for accessibility.
- Some linked third-party sites, such as Google Maps, are outside our control.
